Job Summary
Custodian role at University of Wisconsin–Madison with 8-hour daily shifts Monday–Friday and occasional weekend/event coverage. Responsibilities include cleaning assigned facility areas, waste/recycling removal, reporting repairs and security issues, maintaining supply/inventory areas, ensuring safe walkways, and coordinating with Rec Well Custodial staff. Requires maintaining cleanliness and safety, attending divisional staff meetings and trainings, pursuing related certifications (American Red Cross CPR/FA/AED), and flexibility for evenings/nights/weekends. Preferred candidate will have up to 3 months of custodial/cleaning experience in academic/commercial settings and a high school diploma. Salary starts at $17.00/hour with a night differential and negotiable based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform custodial cleaning tasks; CPR/FA/AED certification training is provided as needed (preferred)
- HS diploma or equivalent is preferred
Desired Qualifications
- 3 months of previous cleaning, custodial, hospitality, or related experience (preferred)
- Education: Preferred H.S. Diploma (high school)
