Custodian

Custodian responsible for cleaning and maintaining living units, classrooms and public areas on the Waterford Country School campus. Duties include vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, re-supplying public bathrooms, following a fixed daily schedule for cleaning classrooms and offices, and assisting with light maintenance and painting tasks. Requires operating heavy industrial cleaning equipment, moving furniture, potential snow removal, and completing heavy tasks like floor stripping, floor waxing, carpet shampooing; ability to use hand tools and power equipment; adherence to safety practices; availability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime during emergencies; use of the CARE: Creating Conditions for Change model to guide interactions; maintaining knowledge of agency policies; and serving as a positive role model for students and staff. Must maintain valid driver’s license and be able to operate WCS vehicles on-grounds and in the community. No telework capability.
