Job Summary
Clean and maintain production areas and equipment to ensure a safe, clean manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include disposing of waste per safety regulations, maintaining restrooms, ensuring cleaning supplies are stocked, performing routine inspections, reporting hazards, and assisting with facility setup for meetings/events. Execute cleaning to 5S standards; utilize power equipment, extractors, vacuums, brooms, mops, and ladders; wash walls and windows; empty trash and recycling; maintain outer premises; support sustainability efforts; ensure doors are secured, and coordinate with team to maintain cleanliness and safety on the manufacturing floor.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
- Experience in custodial or janitorial in manufacturing or industrial setting (Preferred)
- Understanding of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment
- Familiarity with safety and hazardous materials handling
- Attention to detail
- Physical stamina and dexterity
- Ability to follow procedures and safety protocols
- Understanding of cleaning chemicals and products
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication skills
