Job Summary
Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas daily, dusting, mopping, and polishing floors to maintain a neat appearance. Empty wastebaskets and recycling bins, replenish bathroom supplies, and sanitize frequently touched surfaces like doorknobs and handrails. Follow health and safety protocols, including OSHA standards and proper PPE use, while performing breakdown and clean-up after events. Assist with setting up tables and chairs for gatherings and respond to emergency cleaning requests such as spills and accidents. Perform regular inspections of assigned areas to report maintenance issues like leaky faucets or broken fixtures to the Facilities Supervisor. Maintain cleaning equipment and tools in good working condition. This full-time campus position requires occasional evening or weekend shifts and the ability to work in all inclement weather.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with OSHA standards
