Job Summary
Conduct routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces across restrooms, lounges, kitchenettes, and common areas. Manage waste by emptying trash bins and disposing of materials according to established procedures, while monitoring cleaning supply inventory to ensure availability. Utilize the work order system to report maintenance needs and shovel main entrances after snowfall events. Clean and sanitize high-touch areas, including countertops, windows, and fixtures, and assist with event setup and cleanup as required. Unlock assigned buildings in the morning and address occupant concerns professionally. Perform physical tasks involving lifting up to 50 lbs, with occasional evening or weekend shifts depending on facility needs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and perform physical work (bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, etc.)
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Must pass a criminal background check
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred (not required)
- Previous custodial, janitorial, or cleaning experience is a plus but not required – we will train the right candidate
- Strong attention to detail and pride in work quality
- Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude
- Certification in the use of cleaning chemicals or equipment is a plus
