Job Summary
Plan and coordinate daily work assignments while performing general custodial and janitorial duties across campus-owned buildings. Operate various janitorial equipment including vacuums, floor scrubbers, shampooers, and buffers as instructed. Work independently and cooperatively with facilities staff, maintaining equipment in proper condition and interacting professionally with all offices. Model core values of integrity, honesty, humility, transparency, respectfulness, diversity, caring, loyalty, and accountability in all tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of general custodial / janitorial work.
- Experience operating a variety of janitorial equipment including, but not limited to, vacuum, floor scrubbers, shampooers, and buffers.
- Ability to work both independently as well as cooperatively in a team setting.
- Exceptional self-motivation and ability to work quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to interact professionally and effectively with staff and all offices across campus.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid US Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) to two (2) years successful full-time experience in custodial work
- Experience in multi-facility environments
- Prior safety training and / or certification (i.e., First Aid, CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens, MSDS, etc.)
