Job Summary
Supervise assigned janitorial employees during weekdays and weekends while maintaining cleanliness in facility areas. Orient and train new staff, conduct proper floor care training, and perform cleaning duties including dusting, dry mopping, vacuuming, and using high-speed buffers. Establish daily staffing requirements, perform physical inspections, mix cleaning solutions, and ensure supply and utility rooms remain in proper condition. Prepare weekly quality control and written inspection reports while assisting in inventory control. Requires frequent lifting up to 40 pounds, prolonged standing, and moderate strength. Minimum two years supervisory experience or equivalent lead worker experience with supervisory training is required.
Required Qualifications
- Evaluates and develops rapport with all employees per assigned building.
- Skilled in the knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
- Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate strength.
- Minimum of two years of previous supervisory experience or one-two years experience at GGW as a lead worker or a custodian in good standing plus supervisory training may substitute for 2 years supervisory experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
