Job Summary
Maintain district facilities by cleaning floors, windows, furniture, and restrooms while keeping sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat. Perform minor building repairs, regulate HVAC systems, and assist with lunchroom setup and special event preparations. Operate equipment including buffers, vacuums, drills, and lawn mowers while lifting heavy items daily. Check exit doors and panic bolts during occupancy hours, inspect machinery for safety, and report unsafe conditions immediately. Follow all cleaning, maintenance, and safety protocols, including proper chemical handling and emergency procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures
- Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building and grounds maintenance
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment
- Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies
- Ability to lift heavy equipment
- Ability to lift 45 pounds and over on a daily basis
- Ability to climb stairs/ladders
- Ability to grasp/squeeze
- Ability to reach overhead
- Ability to work outside and inside
- Ability to work on slippery or uneven walking surfaces
- Ability to work in extreme hot and cold temperatures
- Ability to work with dust, toxic chemicals and materials
- Ability to work irregular hours
- Ability to work occasional prolonged hours
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
