Job Summary
Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient educational environment for students, staff, and visitors by operating scrubbing machines, vacuums, mops, lawnmowers, tractors, snow blowers, and hand tools. Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, climbing, and working indoors and outdoors year-round in dusty or odorous conditions. Ensure all activities conform to district guidelines while communicating effectively with the school district and community. Handle assigned tasks reactively and adapt to changing operational needs. This part-time role offers flexible shifts with potential to work up to 40 hours weekly, with opportunities to transition to full-time, benefits-eligible positions.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED)
- Ability to operate all equipment and machinery as required
- Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials
- The ability to lift at least 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Requires stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, and reaching
- Requires climbing and balancing
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors year-round
- Must be able to work in and around dust, fumes, and odors
