Job Summary
Custodian responsible for maintaining building cleanliness and order: keeps classrooms, corridors, sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat; ensures exit doors and panic bolts are functional; sweeps and dusts; mops and disinfects toilets; cleans chalkboards; reports repairs and property damage to the principal; remains on site during school hours as required; opens/closes building and secures doors/windows; moves furniture as directed; adheres to trash disposal procedures; maintains supplies and chemicals inventory; attends designated staff development; reports to assigned location and notifies supervisor of absences. Requires health certification and the ability to read instructions and prepare reports.
Required Qualifications
- Certification of good health signed by a licensed physician.
- Ability to read basic operating instructions and write reports.
- Demonstrated aptitude for successful completion of the tasks assigned.
