Job Summary
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the facility by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing floors, walls, windows, and surfaces in production, warehouse, office, and common areas. Remove debris, manage spills, and promptly place caution signage to prevent slips, trips, and falls while adhering to food safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and all safety policies. Empty trash and recycling containers, replenish restroom and breakroom supplies, and properly store cleaning chemicals in accordance with manufacturer instructions and Safety Data Sheets. Monitor floor conditions, report drainage issues or damaged flooring, and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) throughout the shift.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to safely operate custodial equipment and tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe workplace
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, reach, and climb stairs throughout the shift
- Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks for extended periods
- Ability to work around cleaning chemicals while wearing required PPE
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing environments
- Requires adherence to all food safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation, and safety policies
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or facility maintenance experience preferred
- Experience in a food manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus
