Job Summary
Conduct general custodial duties in offices, classrooms, restrooms, and hallways, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and trash disposal. Perform lawn maintenance such as mowing with push or riding mowers and manual weed pulling. Secure the building daily, assist with deliveries, and support athletic event setup and cleanup. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to behavior guidelines while working flexible schedules, including potential shifts during school breaks and summer cleaning. Requires high school diploma, ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and tolerance for environmental exposures like sun, rain, and chemicals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Skills to operate hand and powered equipment used in housekeeping maintenance along with other custodial functions
- Knowledge of methods and use of materials, tools, and equipment used in general housekeeping maintenance functions while applying standards for safe use of equipment
- Ability to stand/walk or sit/ride for prolonged periods and frequently climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push/pull, and reach with arms
- Ability to talk/hear effectively
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Desire to work cooperatively and collaboratively with co-workers

- Significant physical abilities including lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling, reaching/handling, near visual acuity, and depth perception
