Job Summary
Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in assigned exhibit areas, common spaces, and employee break rooms by adhering to approved cleaning procedures and Covid-19 sanitizing guidelines. Operate general hand tools and cleaning equipment such as mops and vacuums while maintaining machinery and complying with OSHA safety protocols. Perform duties in an office or museum environment, including lifting up to 60lbs, kneeling, and crouching, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. This seasonal, part-time role begins on or after July 6, 2026, and concludes within 90 days of start date.
Required Qualifications
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- A positive attitude
- A flexible schedule: ability to work days and weekends
- Experience with general Janitorial duties and cleaning equipment
- Prior work experience in a physically demanding field: Environmental Services and Janitorial
- Thorough knowledge of the common tools, equipment, and materials used in cleaning and maintenance activities
- Thorough knowledge of methods used in the cleaning of buildings
- Experience and ability to operate general hand tools and cleaning equipment
- Ability to maintain cleaning equipment and machinery
- Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules and regulations
- Considerable knowledge of employee policies and procedures
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to interpret directions on cleaning products and equipment
- Ability to accept criticism and deal calmly and effectively in stressful situations
- Willingness to take on challenges and responsibility
- Ability to lift up to 60lbs
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to comply with company and OSHA standard workplace safety protocols
- Evening, weekend and holiday availability
