Job Summary
Conduct janitorial duties and maintain daily upkeep of assigned areas, including operating motorized cleaning equipment and handling hazardous waste through collection, classification, sorting, and recycling. Report incidents and hazardous conditions to the supervisor while complying with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stop at-risk behavior for self and others, fill in during staff shortages, and support the shift lead in completing punch-list items. Use proper personal protective equipment and present a professional appearance. Shifts run Saturday through Wednesday from 9:00pm to 5:30am.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Completed all safety and task training certification
- May be required to be forklift certified
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 3-6 months training or experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bilingual
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
