Job Summary
Perform janitorial duties including operating motorized cleaning equipment and maintaining daily upkeep of assigned areas. Collect, classify, sort, store, ship, receive, label, clean, recycle, and package special and hazardous waste. Report incidents and hazardous conditions to the supervisor while complying with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stop at-risk behavior of others and self, and fill in during staff shortages. Support shift leads in completing punch-list items and use proper personal protective equipment. Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while communicating with team members and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Completed all safety and task training certification
- May be required to be forklift certified
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
- 3-6 months training or experience
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
- Bilingual
