Job Summary
Conduct janitorial duties, operate motorized cleaning equipment, and manage hazardous waste responsibilities including collecting, sorting, storing, shipping, and recycling special and hazardous waste. Maintain daily upkeep of assigned areas, report incidents and hazardous conditions to a supervisor, and comply with safety rules and policies. Perform repetitive tasks while following all protocols, company procedures, and rules. Work Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm earning $17.00-$18.00 per hour. A valid driver's license and completed safety training are required; forklift certification may be needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Completed all safety and task training certification
- Forklift certified
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
- Must be able to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
Desired Qualifications
- 3-6 months training or experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bilingual
