Job Summary
Conduct janitorial duties and maintain daily upkeep of assigned areas, including operating motorized cleaning equipment and handling hazardous waste through collection, sorting, labeling, and recycling. Report incidents and hazardous conditions to the supervisor, comply with safety rules, and stop at-risk behavior while working in a team. Perform repetitive tasks, fill in during staff shortages, and support shift leads in completing punch-list items. Maintain a professional appearance, use proper personal protective equipment, and communicate effectively with customers and management. Requires a valid driver's license, forklift certification, and completion of safety training; bilingual ability is a plus. Shifts run Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm to 11 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Completed all safety and task training certification
- May be required to be forklift certified
Desired Qualifications
- 3-6 months training or experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bilingual
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
