Job Summary
Perform janitorial duties, including operating motorized cleaning equipment and maintaining daily upkeep of assigned areas. Collect, classify, sort, store, ship, label, clean, recycle, and package special and hazardous waste. Report incidents and hazardous conditions to the supervisor while complying with safety rules and using proper personal protective equipment. Fill in during staff shortages and support the shift lead in completing punch-list items. Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while communicating with customers and team members.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Completed all safety and task training certification
- May be required to be forklift certified
Desired Qualifications
- 3-6 months training or experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bilingual
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
