Job Summary
Perform janitorial duties, operate motorized cleaning equipment, and manage hazardous waste including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping, labeling, cleaning, recycling, and packaging of special waste. Maintain daily upkeep of assigned areas, report incidents and hazardous conditions to the supervisor, and comply with all safety rules, policies, and procedures. Fill in during staff shortages, support the shift lead in completing punch-list items, and use proper personal protective equipment while presenting a professional appearance. Work Sunday through Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at $16.00–$17.00 per hour. A valid driver's license and forklift certification may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Completed all safety and task training certification
- May be required to be forklift certified
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 3-6 months training or experience
- Bilingual
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
