Job Summary
Perform janitorial duties, including operating motorized cleaning equipment and maintaining daily upkeep of assigned areas. Manage hazardous waste responsibilities such as collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping, and recycling special waste. Report incidents and hazardous conditions to the supervisor while complying with safety rules and using proper personal protective equipment. Fill in during staff shortages and support the shift lead in completing punch-list items. Work Mon-Fri from 2:00pm to 10:00pm at $19.00-$20.00 per hour. A valid driver's license and forklift certification may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Completed all safety and task training certification
- May be required to be forklift certified
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 3-6 months training or experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bilingual
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
