Job Summary
Custodian responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all assigned areas; performs janitorial duties, hazardous waste handling including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, and packaging of hazardous waste; operates motorized cleaning equipment; maintains daily upkeep; reports incidents and hazardous conditions; adheres to safety rules and company procedures; works in a team; supports shift lead with punch-list items; uses PPE and maintains professional appearance and conduct; focused on customer service and communication; familiar with cleaning chemicals and equipment and their safe use.
Required Qualifications
- No specific education requirement
- 3-6 months training or experience preferred
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- valid driver’s license may be required
- may be forklift certified
- bilingual a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
- Customer service oriented
