Job Summary
Perform custodial duties as required by district standards to maintain the cleanliness and safe conditions of a school environment. Operate custodial power equipment, assist in moving equipment and furniture, and execute sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing activities across classrooms, hallways, restrooms, gymnasiums, cafeterias, and offices. Work inside and outside the school grounds, requiring long periods of standing, walking, and bending while lifting approximately 50 pounds. Adhere to safety precautions when using cleaning solutions and disinfectants. Regular and on-time attendance is required for this full-time, 2nd shift evening position.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge and experience of custodial equipment, supplies, and proper cleaning procedures
- Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and follow directions
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor as required
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with staff members
- Satisfactory work record
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Regular and on-time attendance
Desired Qualifications
- High School education or GED preferred
