Job Summary
Maintain district facilities by cleaning floors, chalkboards, windows, furniture, and restrooms while keeping sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat. Perform minor building repairs, arrange lunchroom tables, and regulate HVAC systems to ensure economical usage. Assist with opening and closing the building daily, checking exit doors and panic bolts, and inspect equipment for safety. Operate tools including buffers, vacuum cleaners, drills, and lawn mowers while lifting heavy items up to 45 pounds. Follow safety protocols, correct unsafe conditions, and report major repair needs to the principal.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures
- Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building and grounds maintenance
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment
- Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies
- Ability to lift 45 pounds and over on a daily basis
