Job Summary
Under close supervision, clean, dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors while using proper materials to ensure areas are free of safety hazards. Empty and clean wastebaskets, sanitize restrooms and bathrooms, refill dispensers, and assist with meeting or event setups. Wash accessible windows and clean blinds, following established chemical and supply procedures. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Requires a valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work is performed onsite in an office environment or at a customer's location.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to utilize a wide array of custodial chemicals; general cleaning chemicals
- Ability to safely operate custodial equipment (vacuum, backpack vacuum, cardboard bailer)
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to follow instructions
- Computer literacy to use business software, the Internet, enter data/retrieve data
- Human relations skills to build effective working relationships
- Ability to maneuver in and around the worksite
- Ability to stand and walk
- Ability to bend, kneeling, reaching, and stooping
- Ability to lift boxes or equipment weighing up to 35 pounds, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to push or pull objects such as vacuums, carts, mops, etc
- Ability to push/pull equipment weighing up to 70 pounds
- Ability to grasp both small & large objects
- Ability to climb ladders and/or step stools
