Job Summary
Custodian responsible for cleaning, maintenance, and safety in school buildings under the supervision of the Principal. Duties include cleaning rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and other areas; sweeping, mopping, waxing floors; cleaning rugs and blinds; washing walls and windows; replacing light bulbs; setting up and breaking down rooms for meetings; snow and ice control; grounds maintenance; receiving deliveries and circulating supplies; trash removal and recycling; and assisting with events for parents and visitors. Requires following safety rules and MSDS procedures, occasional travel between schools, ability to read and follow work orders, and ability to work in various weather conditions. Typical qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, with previous experience in cleaning/maintenance desirable, and a valid driver's license or ability to provide transportation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or completion of sufficient education to successfully perform the duties of the position
- Previous experience in building and cleaning maintenance desirable
- Motor Vehicle Operator's license or ability to provide own transportation
