Job Summary
Scrubs, dusts, sweeps, mops, vacuums, waxes, and polishes floors in rooms, hallways, and closets. Wash windows, woodwork, walls, and other surfaces. Scrub and clean restroom fixtures. Replenish tissues, towels, and soap in rest rooms, kitchens, and classroom facilities. Emptish wastebaskets and trash receptacles. Lock and unlock doors. Sort and store material for recycling. Change light bulbs in classrooms and hallways. Pick up paper and debris on school grounds. Trim hedges and handle grounds-related duties. Assist the Maintenance Department with filter changing in mechanical equipment. Report damages or needed repairs to a supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Some knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment
- Some skill in the use of small equipment used in routine cleaning
- Ability to understand and follow simple oral or written directions
- Successful work experience
