Job Summary
Perform custodial duties as required by district standards to maintain the cleanliness and safe conditions of the school environment. Operate custodial power equipment and assist in moving equipment and furniture as needed. Execute sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and other cleaning activities inside classrooms, hallways, restrooms, gymnasiums, cafeterias, and offices, as well as outside maintaining school grounds. Handle repetitive arm and hand movements and lift approximately 50 pounds while working in areas exposed to high temperatures and frequent use of cleaning solutions. Requires long periods of standing and walking, often covering large areas throughout the shift. Regular and on-time attendance is required for this part-time role of 29 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge and experience of custodial equipment, supplies, and proper cleaning procedures
- Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and follow directions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with staff members
- Satisfactory work record
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Regular and on-time attendance
Desired Qualifications
- High School education or GED preferred
