Job Summary
Conduct janitorial duties and maintain daily upkeep of assigned parking lot areas. Operate motorized cleaning equipment and handle hazardous waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping, labeling, cleaning, recycling, and packaging of special and hazardous waste. Report incidents and hazardous conditions to the supervisor while complying with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Perform repetitive tasks, fill in during staff shortages, and support shift leads in completing punch-list items. Use proper personal protective equipment and present a professional appearance and conduct. This role requires a valid driver's license and completed safety and task training certification. Bilingual ability is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Completed all safety and task training certification
- May be required to be forklift certified
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
- 3-6 months training or experience
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Must be able to stop at risk behavior of others and self
- Must comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
- Must be able to take direction and respond to supervision
- Must be able to present a professional appearance and conduct
- Must understand customer service and satisfaction
- Must understand reporting systems, and of the environment
