Job Summary
Conduct general custodial duties including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning restrooms, stairwells, windows, and lunch rooms. Maintain custodial equipment and supplies, empty trash receptacles, and bag waste for proper disposal. Unlock and relock doors after cleaning areas and report supply needs or concerns to the Project Manager. Ensure safe use of power equipment and follow all safety procedures while assisting in on-the-job training of new staff. Perform cleaning functions specific to assigned facilities based on seasonal or project requirements. Part-time schedule of 20-25 hours per week with a rate of $23.07.
Required Qualifications
- Less than high school
- Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement
- Ability to understand verbal instructions
- Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
- Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment
- Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
- Ability to read, understands, follow, and enforce safety procedures
- Ability to understand written and verbal communications
- Must meet program eligibility requirements
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check
- Must pass a government background so to acquire naval access badge
