Job Summary
Perform custodial duties as required by district standards to maintain the cleanliness and safe conditions of school classrooms, hallways, restrooms, gymnasiums, cafeterias, and offices. Operate custodial power equipment and assist in moving equipment and furniture as needed. Sweep, mop, scrub, and clean large areas while lifting approximately 50 pounds, requiring long periods of standing, walking, and bending. Work the 2nd shift evening from 40 hours per week with on-call rotation, earning a base hourly rate of $17.12 plus $.35/hr shift pay. Requires working knowledge of cleaning procedures and ability to perform heavy manual labor.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge and experience of custodial equipment, supplies, and proper cleaning procedures
- Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and follow directions
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor as required
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with staff members
- Satisfactory work record
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Regular and on-time attendance
