Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive cleaning and building services in public, executive, and command areas, including descaling fixtures, scrubbing tiles, vacuuming carpets, and polishing furniture. Disinfect restrooms, kitchenettes, fitness centers, and elevators while maintaining all assigned spaces according to contract specifications. Manage trash and recycling, clean glass surfaces, and perform emergency cleaning or special restoration work as required. Move heavy items, maintain floors and exteriors, and comply with all safety procedures and uniform dress codes. Work Monday through Friday from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at a pay rate of $18.40. This essential role supports facility operations at a purpose-driven organization.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Six months of custodial work experience
- Custodial training
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to go up and down stairs
- Ability to reach above the head, bend, kneel, and stoop
- Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Ability to work in dusty spaces or adverse weather conditions
- Ability to see details on the floor, above the head, or on surfaces
- Ability to work with limited direct supervision
- Ability to follow directions and focus on tasks
- Ability to report problems or relate information
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and with safety always in mind
- Ability to understand and comply with safety procedures and environmental requirements
- Ability to use and care for equipment and cleaning supplies properly
- Ability to operate machinery without posing a safety hazard to self or others
- Ability to notice and report changes in work space conditions
- Ability to notify supervisor when equipment or supplies are needed to perform task
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner with numerous interruptions
- Ability to attend work regularly according to assigned schedule and company policies
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as required—days, nights, holidays, and weekends
- Ability to attend and participate in training and work related meetings
- Ability to deal with others in a positive, enthusiastic, respectful, and courteous manner
