Custodian Maugansville Elementary School

Custodian responsibilities include performing cleaning operations such as scrubbing, mopping, sweeping, waxing, and dusting of school buildings using hand or mechanical tools. Maintain a visible presence to deter trespass and protect the school, monitor and assist with heating/air conditioning systems, participate in minor emergency repairs, care for grounds, keep records and inventory of custodial supplies, and demonstrate courteous professionalism to staff, students, and the Washington County Public Schools community. Preferred qualifications include strong interpersonal skills and prior experience in commercial cleaning and mechanical/carpentry work. The role requires building access, 12-month, 8-hour second-shift work, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing stairs, and operating powered equipment.
