Custodian / Maintenance Assistant

Job Summary
Conduct daily building custodial work including vacuuming, mopping, carpet cleaning, trash removal, bathroom sanitation, and common area maintenance for approximately half of each shift. Perform general maintenance tasks by responding to resident requests through the work order program to repair plumbing, electrical, appliance, HVAC, and kitchen equipment issues. Execute daily light bulb inspections to ensure operability in public areas and manage painting projects for common and office spaces. Organize all storage and equipment areas. Requires experience in janitorial/maintenance work and familiarity with minor repairs for structural, electrical, plumbing, and heating systems. Located at Georgetowne Place in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Required Qualifications
- familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security and heating and cooling systems
- Experience in janitorial/maintenance work preferred
- Experience in building safety and hazard reduction helpful
