Job Summary
The Custodian is responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas according to contract specifications, including disinfecting restrooms, cleaning kitchenettes, and performing emergency cleaning tasks. This role requires physical abilities to stand, lift, and work in various conditions, and the ability to work independently with a focus on safety and compliance with agency policies.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to go up and down stairs
- Ability to reach above the head, bend, kneel, and stoop
- Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Ability to work with limited direct supervision
- Ability to follow directions and focus on tasks
- Ability to use and care for equipment and cleaning supplies properly
- Ability to notice and report changes in work space conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Custodial training desired
- Six months of custodial work experience preferred
