Job Summary
Maintain the cleanliness and safe conditions of school classrooms, hallways, restrooms, gymnasiums, cafeterias, and outdoor grounds by performing diversified custodial tasks daily. Operate custodial power equipment, assist in moving furniture, and execute sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing activities while adhering to district standards and safety precautions for cleaning solutions. Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient functioning of the work unit, requiring the ability to lift approximately 50 pounds and work independently under pressure. Full-time 40-hour 2nd shift evening role with on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge and experience of custodial equipment, supplies, and proper cleaning procedures
- Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and follow directions
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor as required
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with staff members
- Satisfactory work record
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Regular and on-time attendance
Desired Qualifications
- High School education or GED preferred
