Job Summary
Custodian leave replacement for La Center School District (July 6–August 17, 2026) with Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. schedule. Responsibilities include general custodial duties: vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, trash/recycling, changing lights, deep cleaning high-traffic areas, minor plumbing/electrical/carpentry repairs, setting up and moving equipment for events, securing doors, and performing major cleaning during breaks. Use district vehicle to transport supplies; assist maintenance and custodial staff; communicate effectively with students, staff, families, and community partners; attend trainings; maintain professional appearance; ensure a safe learning environment; maintain regular attendance; perform other related duties as assigned. Requires fingerprint clearance and background checks; EEO/policy adherence and ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A valid CPR card, or the ability to obtain a valid card upon hire
- Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record
- Successful completion of a basic skills assessment may be required prior to offer of employment
