Custodian III

Custodian III responsible for cleaning and maintenance of district buildings and grounds, typically 2:00pm-10:00pm, 261-day term. Duties include vacuuming, shampooing, sweeping, mopping, waxing, polishing, sanitizing restrooms and locker rooms, cleaning furnishings, windows, chalkboards/whiteboards, trash collection, moving furniture, setup and teardown for events, snow and ice removal, reporting repair needs, and ensuring doors, lights, and security are maintained. Requires the ability to read safety and maintenance instructions, write routine reports, communicate with staff and students, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds (up to 90 lbs in some cases). Preferred high school diploma or GED; WV Minimum Objective and Performance School Competency Exam required for Custodian position.
