Job Summary
Maintain an attractive, sanitary, and safe facility for students, staff, and the public by cleaning assigned areas, performing minor repairs, and replacing broken items. Arrange furnishings and equipment for meetings, classroom activities, and special events. Assist in training, scheduling, and directing night custodial staff while overseeing hazardous waste disposal. Inspect facilities for vandalism, weather damage, or equipment breakage and respond immediately to safety concerns. Prepare various reports, logs, and inventory records as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility
- Operating equipment and materials used in industrial maintenance
- Adhering to safety practices
- Preparing and maintaining accurate records
- Administering first aid
- Handling hazardous materials
- Basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios
- Understanding written procedures
- Writing routine documents
- Speaking clearly
- Solving practical problems
- Basic tools for minor repairs
