Job Summary
Execute daily cleaning responsibilities, maintain accurate inventory logs, and manage custodial supplies to meet campus cost allocations. Operate cleaning and heavy equipment while ensuring all chemicals remain locked and personal protective equipment is used 100% of the time. Complete assigned work orders, achieving 90% completion within 48 hours, and proactively report unsafe situations immediately. Achieve proficient ratings on the Facilities Rubric and Facilities Audit, and work with the Facilities Manager to identify needs for capital expenditure planning. Complete SafeSchools training by the deadline and maintain zero unexcused absences.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures
- Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building and grounds maintenance
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment
- Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies
- Must undergo drug testing prior to starting in their new role
- Complete SafeSchools training by deadline
- Use all personal protective equipment (PPE) 100% of the time
- Zero unexcused absences
- Consistent punctuality
- Demonstrate the Team Player attitude with the ability to work longer hours as needed to meet the mission goal
- Follow work schedule to assure efficiency
- Prioritize and make use of good judgment
