Custodian I School-Based

Custodian I School-Based role at Dare County Schools. Responsible for cleaning and maintaining school facilities, floor care (sweeping, mopping, buffing), restroom sanitation, window and surface cleaning, waste disposal, light groundskeeping (mowing, trimming), inventory management of cleaning supplies, opening and securing buildings, and responding to after-hours emergencies. Requires general knowledge of cleaning practices and equipment, the ability to operate cleaning tools safely, and physical ability to perform medium-to-light manual tasks. Must have a High School graduation or equivalent and a valid North Carolina driver’s license. Works under supervision with occasional minor building repairs and coordination with the principal and facilities director.
