Job Summary
Conduct routine manual cleaning and maintenance of school buildings by scrubbing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors in rooms, hallways, and closets. Wash windows, woodwork, walls, and rest room fixtures while replenishing tissues, towels, and soap. Control heating and air conditioning equipment by turning systems on and off, and lock and unlock doors. Sort materials for recycling, empty trash receptacles, and report any damages or needed repairs to a supervisor. Perform these duties in accordance with established practices and cleaning schedules under direct supervision with frequent inspections.
