Job Summary
Scrubs, dusts, sweeps, mops, vacuums, waxes, and polishes floors in rooms, hallways, and closets. Wash windows, woodwork, walls, and other surfaces. Scrub rest room fixtures, replenish tissues and soap, and empty wastebaskets. Lock and unlock doors, sort recycling materials, change light bulbs, and pick up debris on school grounds. Trim hedges and assist the Maintenance Department with filter changes. Report damages or needed repairs to the supervisor. Perform grounds-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Some knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment
- Some skill in the use of small equipment used in routine cleaning
- Ability to understand and follow simple oral or written directions
- Successful work experience
