Job Summary
Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of buildings by scrubbing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors in rooms, hallways, and closets. Wash windows, woodwork, walls, and rest room fixtures while replenishing tissues, towels, and soap in rest rooms, kitchens, and classrooms. Empty wastebaskets, sort and store materials for recycling, and report damages or needed repairs to the supervisor. Control building heating and air conditioning equipment by turning systems on and off. Lock and unlock doors and pick up paper and trash within the school building. Perform duties under direct supervision with frequent inspections to ensure adherence to established cleaning schedules and standards.
