Job Summary
Head Custodian II oversees custodial staff, leads, manages, and evaluates assigned personnel within the district, and ensures a safe, clean, and healthy environment in school facilities. Responsibilities include coordinating work schedules, performing quality assurance inspections, training new staff in cleaning chemicals and equipment, inspecting facilities, investigating service and equipment issues, maintaining and operating custodial equipment, moving and setting up rooms for conferences, reporting maintenance needs, and ensuring compliance with policies. Requires supervision experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with other departments to deliver efficient custodial services; travel to district buildings is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years custodial experience required
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license or ability to provide own transportation
- Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings
- Read and write at a level required by the job
