Job Summary
Oversee custodial personnel at assigned schools while maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment for staff, students, and visitors. Lead, manage, supervise, and evaluate assigned staff; record personnel issues in key incident journals. Complete quality assurance inspections, train new staff on chemicals and equipment, and coordinate activities with other departments. Inspect facilities daily to remove hazards, clean classrooms, restrooms, and special areas, and perform light maintenance such as replacing light bulbs and adjusting blinds. Maintain and operate custodial equipment including vacuum polishers and wax strippers, while assisting maintenance staff with repairs and organizing storage areas.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of education at a level which provides the ability to read and write at a level required by the job required
- Minimum of three (3) years of custodial experience required
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license or ability to provide own transportation
- Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
