Job Summary
Custodian responsible for maintaining a safe, attractive, and clean school environment. Essential duties include keeping buildings and premises neat and clean (including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas), regulating heating/ventilation/air conditioning for appropriate temperatures and efficiency, performing groundskeeping tasks (grass cutting, tree trimming), securing doors before/after student presence, shoveling/plowing and maintaining walkways, performing minor building repairs, reporting major repairs promptly, keeping floors clean, moving furniture as needed, cleaning windows/restrooms/classrooms, conducting ongoing maintenance and inventory of supplies, and complying with safety rules and disposal procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Clean and neat appearance to present proper appearance when confronting students, teachers, and the public
- Minimum one year experience so that with appropriate training the assigned duties can be carried out
- Meets health and physical requirements
