Custodian/Groundskeeper

Maintain and preserve all flooring by scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and buffing, while cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, washing walls, windows, and woodwork, and disposing of trash. Sweep and clean exterior steps, entrances, landings, and sidewalks, and dust office furniture. Supervise students on center work support assigned custodial duties, provide positive customer service to students and staff, and participate in student employability programs. Support and enforce the Job Corps' Zero Tolerance Policy by mentoring students, modeling appropriate behaviors, and monitoring conduct through interventions. Maintain accountability for students and property while adhering to safety practices. Full-time position with competitive pay and benefits at the Joliet Job Corps Center.
