Job Summary
Conduct daily manual cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, polishing floors, dusting, and washing windows or walls as needed. Replenish tissues, towels, and soap in restrooms, kitchens, and classrooms; empty waste baskets; and assist in moving or arranging furniture. Lock and unlock doors, sort materials for recycling, keep the location clear of litter, and report any damages or repair needs to the supervisor. Monitor heating and air equipment at the location. Maintain a valid North Carolina school bus driver's license if assigned to specific duties requiring it.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to follow simple oral and written directions
- Some skill in the use of small equipment used in the routine cleaning
- Some knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
- The ability to obtain and maintain a valid North Carolina school bus driver's license
