Job Summary
Operate housekeeping machines including floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, and ride-on vacuums while cleaning floors, glass, mirrors, and various surfaces throughout the building. Monitor and clean exit stairwells, loading docks, service streets, elevators, restrooms, and public areas. Maintain equipment by following established procedures, keep storage rooms orderly, and assist with room sets as needed. Notify Operations Manager of supply replenishment requirements and occasionally supervise part-time custodians. Work an irregular schedule including weekends, holidays, and nights to perform assigned duties and special projects.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the ability to demonstrate basic cleaning techniques
- Must have experience or training in providing quality customer service
- Ability to work an irregular work schedule as required to perform duties and responsibilities including weekends, holidays, and nights
- Ability to sustain long periods of light to moderately heavy physical activity
- Ability to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions
- Ability to make routine decisions independently
- Ability to work harmoniously with others
- High degree of integrity, compliance, and self-awareness
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to prioritize tasks

Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Experience in providing service directly to customers is preferred
- Basic facility cleaning / custodial techniques and materials
- Basic principles and procedures of record keeping
- Safe work methods and safety practices
