Job Summary
Maintain district facilities by cleaning floors, chalkboards, windows, furniture, equipment, and restrooms according to a set schedule. Keep school grounds, sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat while managing trash storage and disposal in compliance with local laws. Perform minor building repairs, arrange lunchroom tables, and regulate HVAC systems to ensure economical usage of resources. Operate tools such as lawn mowers, drills, and vacuums while lifting heavy equipment up to 45 pounds daily. Assist with facility opening and closing by checking exit doors and panic bolts, and report unsafe conditions or major repair needs to the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures
- Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building and grounds maintenance
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment
- Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies
- Ability to lift 45 pounds and over on a daily basis
